pivot table "sum of "-field is not working
Within the pivot field i want to see the sum of a field (external list), but
the function returns "0". "Count of" works fine and correct. The field is formatted to number format. Any suggestions ? -- gohlensc |

Even though the field is formatted as numbers, Excel is probably seeing
the dates in the source table as text. There are some techniques here that you can use to convert the text to dates, so they can be summed correctly: http://www.contextures.com/xlDataEntry03.html gohlensc wrote: Within the pivot field i want to see the sum of a field (external list), but the function returns "0". Hi Debra,
thanks for that hint, but didn't help. To make sure that the formats are correct, I tried the function "Sumif", which works perfectly. Do you have any other idea? Thanks in advance.
