I need to find out how to get a cell to say one thing on page 1 of a
workbook, but have the exact same cell on page 2 and 3 to be something else

By "page" do you mean worksheet?

Enter qwerty in A1 of sheet1, switch to sheet 2 and enter asdfgh in A1

Switch to sheet3 and enter zxcvbn in A1

Or perhaps there is more to this than you have described?

.... and make sure that the worksheets aren't grouped.
