inserting rows keeping the merged cells
 

I would like to insert a row in a worksheet and keep all the format of the
row above. This includes where the cells have been merged. All the
formating remains except that the cells become individual and then have to be
merged. Any suggestions welcome

copy the line above
select the line below
ctrl + to replicate the line above (all formats, formulae, values, merging)
press delete to remove formulae and values
