What is the maximum filter for rows?
I have a spreadsheet that contains 1300 rows of data. Some of the data that I
want to filter is on row that are beyond row 1000. But each time I use the filter it will only allow me to filter lines between 1 and 1000. Is there a limit on how many row that can be filtered? |

In Excel 2003 and earlier, there is a display limit of 1000 unique values on
the drop-down list of the AutoFilter. The filter still applies to all of your data, it is just a display limitation. You can still filter other values by selecting the Custom option. Or, if your data allows for this, you could add an additional column that could be used to break down your data into smaller groups. You'd then filter on this new column first, then on your original. In Excel 2007, this display limit is increased to 10000. HTH, Elkar "Gaza" wrote: I have a spreadsheet that contains 1300 rows of data.
