delete hyphens within a cell while maintaining the data therein

I have a series of numbers to paste onto a sheet that have hyphens in them
and the end user of the sheet wants them omitted (the hyphens), but I can't
seem to replace them with blank spaces. I tried Find/Replace, but was only
succesful on one occasion and I can't seem to duplicate that success. Thanks.

Replace should work.

Select options and ensure that Match entire cell contents is unchecked and
Lookin formulas is selected. (Althought I am fairly sure that if you enter a
hyphen to replace, you only get the Lookin Formulas option.)

When you enter the replace character, you only need the space. Don't enter
it between double quotes. If you want to replace the hyphen with nothing so
that the numbers joun together, then don't enter anything in the Replace with
box.

Note that Excel remembers all the previous options set in a Find/Replace
until you close Excel and re-open it. If you are new to this then it might be
worth closing and re-opening and start fresh.
