Excel 2007. Use, So much smpler.

To all:

The ribbon is so much easier than previous versions of Excel. I have been
using Excel since 1995. This is so much easier. It looks harder only until
you study it, buy a book, learn in less than a day. Once you understand the
ribbon, you will not want to return to previous versions of Excel. Or Office
in general. People are saying that because the ribbon is different, it is
unuseable. What crap!!!!

Well you might be right, you might be wrong, but everyone is entitled to an
opinion.

My dislike is that it takes 2 mouse clicks to do most things. A click to get
to the correct tab and then click on the button to perform the operation you
want.

I should have added that I had customized the worksheert menu bar and had 2
toolbars on the left side that contained others. I rarely had to click on a
menu and then on an action.

How many times have you said this now?

It seems that it is easier for people new to Excel or for people used to
doing auto sum and a few copy and paste but I have hardly heard any power
users finding it that way. The few power users I have heard praise it I
suspect do it more because they have a need for the new features and
extended functionality of things like conditional formatting, autofilter
etc. I have not heard anyone saying that it has improved their work output.
I like some of the new features but the drawbacks and bugs so far would not
make me recommend it.
