Hi!
A user at one of our clients is using Excel 2003 on a Win XP Pro PC. Recently she started experiencing slowness when opening XLS files. After double-clicking on an xls, it takes about 10 secs for an hourglass to even appear. Then it takes about another 5 secs for the file to open. If she opens Excel first, it opens in a flash, and opening an xls from within Excel is instantaneous also. I've checked the folder options for file type assignment and didn't see any obvious problems there. Any ideas?? Thanks, Tom |
