Slow down scroll

How do you stop the sheet from moving quickly when selecting a large number
of cell. I find it is difficult to select a range as the sheet moves beyond
the range required.

I did not see anything in Tools/Options that could help.

Sometimes better to use Keyboard

Shift+Arrow Down
Shift+PgDown
Ctrl+Shift+Arrow Down

Etc....

You may also find if the scroll bars are un-controllable that the UsedRange
needs resetting.

Another option is to use the "name box" (left of formula bar) for *exact*
selections.

Click in starting cell (B8)
Click in name box, type
b117
then <Shift <Enter
OR
Click in name box,
Type
b8:b117
Then <Enter

CyberTaz

Two other variations-

Click in name box and type range if you know it (eg., C7:AJ99), press Enter,
or
Click start of range (C7), use scroll bar to show end of range (AJ99) &
Shift-Click it.

Also, if you need to select the same range frequently, select it & go to
InsertNameDefine. Give it a name of your choice & then use the Name List to
select it whenever necessary, (ShortCut- select the range, click the
reference that appears in the Name List, type a name & press Enter... does
the same thing).
