Getting control toolbox button to record a macro.
 

Hello,

Don't know what I've done, but I used to be able to select the button in the
control toolbox, and it would automatically launch into creating a macro. It
is not doing it any more, and I can't find out how to change it back. Any
suggestions? Currently creating modules and then cutting and pasting to the
command button, which is a bit frustrating.

Getting control toolbox button to record a macro.
 

Click VIEW in the menu and select TOOLBARS and display the Control Toolbox
toolbar. Right click on the Control Toolbox toolbar and select CUSTOMIZE.
Click t the commands tab and in the CATEGORIES listbox, click TOOLS. In the
COMMANDS list box scroll down until the RECORD NEW MACRO command button
appears and then drag the button to the Control Toolbox toolbar.

That button is not assigned to that toolbar and it sounds as if it has been
reset to the default set of command buttons.

No, I used to click on the button icon in the Control Toolbox, and it would
automatically launch to recording a macro, or when I right click on button
newly created in the spreadsheet, it would allow me to assign a macro to that
button. It is not doing it anymore, and when I right click on the button, it
only gives me the option of view code and view properties that could be
relevant. Which makes the create module and then copy and paste the code to
the procedure, rather than a simple process.
