Pull down selections
How do I display values or text in other cells when making a selection from a
pull down menu that applies to that selection? Say for instance I select pizza out of a selection of food options and next to that pull down menu is a column for grams, one for calories and one for fat content. I want to know how to display that information for pizza? -- Thank You. |
Pull down selections
You could use VLOOKUP formulas in the appropriate cells to pull grams, calories
and fat content. See Debra Dalgleish's site for more on VLOOKUP and Data Validation lists for entering the choices. http://www.contextures.on.ca/xlFunctions02.html http://www.contextures.on.ca/xlDataVal01.html Note the section on using DV lists from another worksheet by naming the list.
