Excel 2003

When I try to enter firgures into a few cells in the spreadsheet, it keeps
showing the # sign when I go to the next cell. I can reselect the cell with
the # signs in it and the numbers reappear but it automatically goes back to
the # sign when I exit that cell. This is only happening in 3 or 4 cells on
the sheet. What gives?

The # symbol usually appears if the cell is not wide enough to display all
the characters.

Try widening your column to fix it
