#REF in linked files

Hi,

For example File A has links to file B

Is there a way to prevent #REF's in file A when you insert a row in
file B when file A is closed.

As long as both files are open the links are updated, this doesn't
happen when the other file is closed.

The structure of the files is that files B to F are opened and edit by
colleagues, file A is the summary file with all the details of the
individual files thru links.

Cheers,

Harold

I'm not positive, but if you turn off auto calculation that might do what you
ask. In the Tools-options-calculation
