My tab key is skipping to cell G from cell A. It's not just moving to the
next cell. How do I fix this?

Perhaps the sheet is protected and those cells are locked.

You might have the Transition Navigation keys in effect. This option is for
users of Lotus 123 to easily transition over to Excel. Go to the Tools menu,
choose Options, then the Transition tab. There, ensure that "Transition
Navigation Keys" is NOT checked.
