Trying to set up a serchable sequence of #'s

I am trying to setup BOM's to be searchable even if I put a sequence of #'s
in a cell like U57-U79. My first question is if this is possible. My second
one is if I put more than one number like(U2, U45, U57-79) would this still
be searchable for all #'s in the string. Thanks
