cell splitting words

How do I tell Excel not to split words within a cell? For example, I have a
cell that says:

install basic
software in
computer fo
r everyone

I don't want the word "for" to be split like that.

Make the cell wider and/or insert line breaks, Alt+Enter, in front of the
word you don't want split.

Betsy,

If you've typed that sentence into the cell, then set wrap text on (Format - Cells -
Alignment), it should not be breaking up the words. Maybe there's a line break (alt-Enter
was pressed) in the sentence. Try temporarily widening the column and see if it still
breaks after "fo". The entire sentence should appear in one line if you've made the column
sufficiently wide. The only thing that will cause line breaks in that situation is to have
used Alt-Enter in the sentence. See if it's still breaking. Select the cell and look
carefully at the contents of the cell.

Some folks prefer bottom-posting.
But if you bottom-post to a reply that's
