data entry in Excel slow

A fairly highly formatted but simple (like me) spreadsheet which I use to
monitor my diabetes over the year has slowed down considerably especially
when trying to enter data in cell "comments".Any ideas?

When's the last time you emptied your Temporary Internet Files cache or
de-fragged your hard drive?

Too many TIF is one of the most common causes of Excel being slow.
