how do i graph a regression analysis?
i am learning (slowly) how to perform a regression analysis on two columns of
data. Excel has given me a formula and i came up with an answer using the LINEST function. How do i turn this into a graph or does Excel do it for me. I'd like to see the different points scattered. thanks |

Brad -
Arrange data with X values on the left and Y values on the right. Select both ranges. Create an XY (Scatter) chart. Or, use the Regression tool of Excel's Analysis ToolPak, in which case Excel automatically provides a scatter chart of the original data with the best fit line. Or, after creating an XY (Scatter) chart of the original data, select the data series (click on a point), and insert a trendline. - Mike Middleton http://www.DecisionToolworks.com Decision Analysis Add-ins for Excel "Brad" wrote in message ... i am learning (slowly) how to perform a regression analysis on two columns of data.
