automate formating a mailing list
Is there a way or macro or Excel add-on that would automate the
formatting/editing of a large raw data mailing list ? I regularly get an Excel file with a column formatted as follows...which I have been using 'text to column' routines to format...but it is very time consuming. Here's a sample of the cells various configurations: Judy Sample Judy & John Sample Judy E & John Sample Judy E & John R Sample Camelback Properties LLC Desert Condominiums Co Inc I have been using 'text to column' with the 'space parameter...but as you see get about 4-5 columns which I then have to try to fit together as follows: FirstName (Column A) LastName (Column B) Judy Sample Judy & John Sample Camelback Properties LLC and so on..get anywhere from 500 to 4000 new names per month....!!...any ideas on how to automate this task other than 'text to column' ? Thanks, Tim |
