We would like to take names and address that are in an excel document and
move to mailing labels. What steps do we take to do this? I do not work a lot
with the excel program. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The easiest way to do this is a Data Merge in Word, using the XL
workbook as the data source.

See the "Create labels by using the Data Merge Manager" topic in Word
Help for more.

Excel alone is poorly suited for this task.

Word is much better for labels using Excel as the source for the labels.

Assuming you are using Word for the mailmerge and Excel for the source see these
sites for help.

As an FYI, the Avery Dennison folks have a utility that reads an Excel file
and prints labels - the only caveat is that the file can be only one
worksheet. See
