cannot move a column in my spreadsheet
following the help instructions to move a column:
- right click column to move - cut - right click column to insert before - insert cut cells error: cannot complete operation. you are attempting to change a portion of a list row or column in a way that is not allowed. ... ( how can I copy, paste the text of this error message ?? ) I did sort the rows on the column I am moving. Is that the problem? ( just tried to move another column. same error. ) thanks, -Steve |

If you don't know whether you've got merged cells, click in the top left
hand square (above row 1 and to the left of column A) to select the whole sheet. Format/ Cells/ Alignment and if the "Merge Cells" box isn't clear, then clear it. -- David Biddulph "Steve Richter" wrote in message ps.com...
