If I have a list of X-Axis labels, how do I go about changing the formatting

I tried to hold down the control key and click the axis labels, but it will
not let me select individual labels. Any more suggestions? Axis tick labels cannot be formatted individually, other than to a tiny
extent using custom number formats: http://peltiertech.com/Excel/NumberFormats.html To gain control over axis tick labels, replace them with a hidden series and data labels from that series: http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/ArbitraryAxis.html http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/ArbGridLabel.html - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "FSt1" wrote in message ... hi, what are you calling a lable. regards FSt1 "Scott" wrote: I tried to hold down the control key and click the axis labels, but it will not let me select individual labels.
