Character Spacing?

In MSWord, the Format Font operation includes a tab to control
Character Spacing. I don't see that feature in Excel. Is that
feature truly missing from Excel (2003), or am I just overlooking it?

I would like to be able to expand text spacing by a chosen number of
points.

Excel was not designed/developed as a word processor but as number cruncher.

That's why MS developed the Office Suite of Applications............something
for everyone.

Character spacing is not a feature supported by Excel.

You can play around with some of the FormatCellsAlignment for indents and
justification but very little else.

AFIK it's not there in Excel. Excel is just simply not a word processing
system. You'll find other "lack's Word ability to..." areas such as when
dealing with headers, footers and page numbering. Just a different beast.
