Opening large excel docs in works

I have saved a large excel doc to a CD and am trying to open it in Microsoft
Works' spreadsheet program. I get message that the file has been damages and
is over a certain number of rows/columns....they it opens only a portion of
the doc. I am using excel 2007. Does works only allow spreadsheets under a
certain size?

I have no idea about Works but Excel 2007 is not compatible with previous
Excel versions when it comes to size. Save the workbook in Excel in 97-2003
format and try to open that file in Works

Since Works hasn't opened excel files in the past, I certainly would not
expect a 2007 Excel file to open in an old Works program. Try getting a
viewer from Microsoft downloads.
