Is there a quick/easy way to get excel to replace ALL forumulas the numerical result in one step?

Suppose I had spreadsheet with hundreds of numbers...

I have looked in excel help to about converting to the number result
(select copy, then paste-special the 'number-only' value over the same
cell)

Select the range to do this to (include as many pre-existing values as you
want--it won't hurt them), then do that edit|copy, edit|paste special|values.

I think that this is the quickest way.

CTRL + a(twice in 2003) to select all cells.

Copy and in place Paste SpecialValuesOKEsc

Turn on the macro recorder to get a macro you can assign to a button or shortcut
key combo.
