Cannot arrow through spreadsheet, have to tab?

I have somehow pushed something that will not allow me to arrow through any
excel spreadsheets. The spreadsheet moves up and down but the cell does not
highlight when I arrow in or out of it? It only highlights the cell when I
tab? I'm assuming it's a setting I've accidentally pushed because this is
occuring on all my excel spreadsheets, not just one.

Press the 'Scroll Lock' key on your keyboard - top right hand side.

I wondered about that, but can't seem to find where the scroll lock is on my
laptop keyboard?! Feeling like a real idiot...

hmmm Try click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to
Accessibility, and then click On-Screen Keyboard.

Look for a key with SLK which will probably be highlighted. Clicking this
key with your mouse should help... I hope!

Mine is on the key F9 at the top of the keyboard but you have to be
pressing the 2nd function key Fn at the bottom left-hand side of the
keyboard. Of course there is no guarantee that your keyboard will be the
same.

Oh dear! I can't even find it on my keyboard - it's on the F10 key not F9!
