i have a general field 100-11-11-00

i want to remove the - and make it 100111100

One way:

Select the data to change. Choose Edit/Replace...

Find what: -
Replace with: <blank

Click Replace All

if you want to use a formula:

=SUBSTITUTE(A1,"-","")

Hi,

just select the cells where you want to do the reemoval, then from menu
Edit, Substitute in the Find field digit - and leave blank the field
Substitue with.

Then click on Substitute All.

(I'm not sure of names of menus, options and commands, because
translating from the Italian version of Excel...)
