How do I convert a .xlsx file to .xls
I received an email with an attachment .xlsx. I tried to open it but it
would not open. I have Windows XP. How can I convert this file to .xls . I've tried to open with other programs and get a bunch of symbols . Thanks |
How do I convert a .xlsx file to .xls
You need to ask whoever sent the file to you to use File | Save As in
XL2007 and save it as an .xls file - you won't be able to open it with XL 2003. If the original file had more than 256 columns or more than 65532 rows, then you will lose some of the data. You haven't told us what version of Excel you've got. If it isn't 2007,
