problem saving document in Excel 2007

Hello,

Whenever I try to save a very large Excel 2007 file I get the following
error message:

"Errors were detected while saving €˜(filename). Microsoft Office Excel may
be able to save the file by removing or repairing some features. To make the
repairs in a new file, click Continue. To cancel saving the file, click
Cancel."

When I click 'Continue', I'm able to save the file in a new name and I get a
message saying there is no problem with the file.

Does anyone know if this is a bug in Excel 2007 that can be corrected or if
there is some other reason why I continue to receive this error message?

Thanks,
Derek

Hello Darek,

Just try the following steps to see if it works:

1. Disk clean up
Go to Start All Program Accessories System Tools Disk Clean Up
Click OK after scanning

2 Check you hard drive for error and fixing it
Going to My Computer Right Click Local Disk C Properties Tool error
Checking Check Now Tick Auto fix file error and Recover Bad Sector
click Start Reboot your PC. This process would take 60 minutes or more
depending the size of your drive C.

3. Disk Defragmentation
Going to My Computer Right Click Local Disk C Properties Tool
Defragmentation Defragment Now Defragment This process would take 20
minutes or more depending the size of your drive C.

4. Increase the virtual memory of your PC to its maximum permissible size
This can be done by going to Control Panel System Advance Performance
Click at setting Virtual Memory Click at Change Custom Size Set
Initial Size : 4090 MB , Maximum Size : 4095 (The system could tell you what
is your maximum size as you increase it) Click OK and reboot your PC.

If all the above steps do no work, please remove the MS Office 2007 program
from your C drive and reinstall it back. But make sure you have the program
DVD before you remove it.

I hope my suggestions are helpful.

Thanks

Low
