How do you Auto shade cells based upon the data found in the cell.

Use FormatConditional Formatting and then either the pre-set criteria or a
formula you specify.

Auto Shading Cells
 
Click FORMAT in the menu and select CONDITIONAL FORMATTING. State your
criteria and select the fomatting you wish to use. When the condition is met
by the cell value the format specified is applied.
