With unlimited size in Excel in VISTA, can I copy an Access file to Excel and
do some manipulation of the data? Don't klnow Access and do understand
Excel? Thanks for any comments.

James,

You can bring Access tables and queries into Excel, as long as they don't exceed the row
count for the Excel version you're using. Excel is great for manipulation and analysis of
data, but If you're thinking of moving the entire application to Excel, consider that Excel
isn't a data base program, and you'll lose the benefit of table relationships, data forms
and reports, queries, and all kinds of stuff. There's a little more in the topic "Database"
at http://www.smokeylake.com/excel/excel_truths.htm.

Some folks prefer bottom-posting.
But if you bottom-post to a reply that's
already top-posted, the thread gets messy.
