Character limitations
I have set up a spreadsheet that is intended as a database, from with other
spreadsheets will pull information via "lookup" functions. However, these other spreadsheets cut off some of the information contained in lengthy cells. These lengthy cells are well below the 1,024 character limit, though. Any thoughts as to a fix? |

I've had cells with 3000 characters in them by putting an ALT ENTER every so
often. -- HTH, Barb Reinhardt "jborfield" wrote: I have set up a spreadsheet that is intended as a database, from with other spreadsheets will pull information via "lookup" functions. Are you retrieving data from other workbooks (I'm not sure what a spreadsheet
is)? Are those other workbooks closed? If the "sending" workbook is open, then I bet you see all the text. If the "sending" workbook is closed, then I bet you see about 255 characters (after a recalc). That's the way excel works. jborfield wrote: I have set up a spreadsheet that is intended as a database, from with other spreadsheets will pull information via "lookup" functions.
