Hidden Line?
 

I have a worksheet that all of a sudden has a column on the left with either
a + or - that hides and displays line 18. I'm not sure how this got there or
how to get rid of it. I need to have that line displayed all the time and
not an option to have it there. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance

it sounds like it got "grouped"

choose data / group and outline and clear outline
