How to change Import Data source folder "permanently"?

Whenever I go to Import Data, the folder that it looks in first is My
Data Sources. It is tedious for me to repeatably navigate from there
to the folder where the files really are.

Is there some way that I can change the initial Import Data folder?

How to change Import Data source folder "permanently"?

I found that if I changed the value of the MyData key under

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\DataSer vices

to C:\

that's where Excel 2003 defaulted to for an Import Data.
