Sort Help

I am having problems sorting my spreadsheet, I have never seen Excel act like
this before. I have a spreadsheet listing Building and Department Name. I
want to sort by building then Department name.

Excel is keeping the buildings together East and West but the Department
names are not in alpha order.

It sounds as if there's a blank column in your table or the table range is
incorrect.

Try manually selecting all the data in the table and sorting.

If I sort just by Department, it sorts perfectly. So what does that tell me?
