HOW DO YOU GET THE SUM TO SHOW ON THE READY BAR ??

SHOW SUM ON READY BAR

If you right click on the bar at the bottom, it will present you with a list
of choices. Simply select the one you require, ie sum and it will
automatically sum the selected cells.
