Hi folks

I have a line in my worksheet I cannot delete, it isnt a VB control,
as in design mode I cant hightlight it and delete it.
Even if I delete the rows above and below it at the same time it
remains on the sheet...

what is this object, I suspect it is some VB left over...

cheers
John

does the line run all the way to the end of the worksheet or does it stop?
Anyway, try the Drawings toolbar, pick the arrow pointer and see if you can
select it with that + delete.

thanks, no luck with the drawing toolbar, its about 5cm and is not
bound by columns, eg if I move column width there is no growth in the
length of the line...
that said, the start of the line seems bound to a column...

interesting.
What happens if you copy the cells that show the line to another area? Does
the shape reappear?

have you tried the Control Toolbox to check if it is a designed shape with
height 0?
Otherwise, write a macro to select every shape on the worksheet....
