Excel 03 to Excel 07

Could anyone help me? I am taking and Excel 07 class at my college, but the
computer that I use has Excel 03 (and also is not capable of downloading any
new software or trial versions). If I do spreadsheets in Exel 03, will it
convert correctly to 07 and vice versa?

You will be able to open your files from a computer with 07, but you won't be
able to read files saved in 07 format unless you HAVE 07. But files used in
07 can save in the 03 format for you to be able to read, but you may lose
functionality if the newer features are used.
How is a computer not capable of installing new software? (And excel 2007 is
not "downloadable", you buy it & install via a CD)

Well, my problem is... The course i'm taking is Excel 07, and I use a
computer at work (which doesn't allow us to install or download anything).
So I was wondering if I could do my assignments in the Excel 03 at my job,
and when I send them to the teacher via email, she will be able to view them
in 07, and they will still be in the correct format.
I didn't think that many things changed from 03 to 07, so I thought i would
be OK, I just wanted to make sure. I asked my instructor, and she didn't
answer.
