Looking for a phone message log template

Using Excel 2003, I would like a template for recording phone messages for my
boss. The little pink message slips are piling up, and we need a way to
track phonecalls...who,when,phone #,message. A printout of a week's worth of
calls would be handy so that phone numbers are readily available.

Answer: Looking for a phone message log template

Sure, I can help you create a phone message log template in Excel 2003. Here are the steps:
  1. Open a new Excel workbook.
  2. In the first row, create the following column headers: Date, Time, Caller Name, Phone Number, Message.
  3. In the second row, create a sample entry for each column to serve as a guide for future entries.
  4. Format the cells as needed. For example, you can format the Date column as "mm/dd/yyyy" and the Time column as "hh:mm AM/PM".
  5. Save the workbook with a descriptive name, such as "Phone Message Log Template".
  6. To add a new entry, simply click on the first empty row and start typing the information for each column.
  7. To print a week's worth of calls, select the rows for that week and go to File Print. In the Print dialog box, select "Selection" under Print What and adjust any other print settings as needed.
  8. Save the updated workbook regularly to ensure that all new entries are saved.

I hope this helps you keep track of your boss's phone messages more efficiently!
