At which point the old column A has become column C, not D. :-)

On the column letter A Left mouse click once, Now right mouse click once and
select cut from the list, On the column letter E Left mouse click once, Now right mouse click once and select insert cut cells. Column A will now be column D. Davids reply would have moved all columns across 3, therefore column B would now be E and so on. This would not work for you if you have data in columns B, C & D which need to be left as they are. The message to which you have replied is your own, not any of the replies
you've had, so it isn't clear which suggestion you've tried. Reply to whichever message you intended to reply to (and quote the part to which you are replying), tell us what you've done and what the problem is (and what you wanted to do, given the various different interpretations different contributors had from your original vague question). .... and please stop SHOUTING. -- David Biddulph "JOE" wrote in message ...
