I want to link to a cell on another worksheet in the same workbook. Instead
of the value of the first cell showing in the second cell, the formula from the first cell appears in the second cell. What am I missing? Thank you. |

The cell you are linking to probably has the Text number format. The cell
with the formula probably had the General format so it picked up and now has the Text format automatically (a 'feature' I don't care for). So I'd change the number format of the cell with the formula to a numeric format and press F2 and Enter. Re-entering the formula this way should make it evaluate and return a value. If the source cell doesn't need the Text number format I'd switch it to something else so you don't have this problem again. -- Jim "Ruth" wrote in message ... Thank you for the reply. I think this is the answer. Best regards, Ruth.

Hi Ruth,
Hope you are using the correct formula: =Sheet1!C1 This would be the formula in say a cell of Sheet2 where you want the value of cell C1 from Sheet1 Rgds Sameer "Ruth" wrote: I want to link to a cell on another worksheet in the same workbook.
