I have an old spreadsheet that I refresh every month with new dates. The
connection is via MS Query/ODBC to a Sybase database. When I opened it in 2007, the get external data button was grayed out. I found the tryst center and enabled all data connections and checked the box to trust everything on the network. Still no button. I added the disk location of the database as a trusted location. That didn't help either. I finally got to the query via the connection properties but that is cumbersome. Is there some setting I can make that will make my existing queries function? Also, when I closed the query it asked if I wanted to save it and went on about the existing query would be erased. What is it talking about? I need these queries, I don't want to erase them. Any help would be gratefully received. -- Thanks Bettie |
