Hi,

Digitally sign a file

1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and click the Security tab.
2. Click Digital signatures.
3. Click Add.
4. Select the certificate you want to add, and then click OK.

For more information, please refer to the topic "Digitally sign a file or
macro project " in the Microsoft Excel 2003 online help.

You have been given some misinformation.

What Challu describes is a method of digitally signing a workbook and/or VBA
code by using a digital certificate so's users can "trust" the workbook and
code.

Has nothing to do with adding an "electronic signature" of the type requested.

You could insert a picture of your signature or get it changed into a font and
insert either into a header or footer.

If using Excel 2002 or newer there is the option of adding a graphic to the
headers and footers.

Yes..........these would work for email.

You can make a digital signature by your own, but such signatures are not called as the verified ones. The trusted signature are issued by Microsoft, and the one which is created by us are called as self assigned signatures, now a days it is easy to buy the Digital Signature online.
