I'm so accustomed to doing reports in Works 4.5 for years and find
nothing similar in Excl. I wandered onto a thing called pivot tables and
got as far as being able to isolate one column that had the data I
wanted to extract, but when I chose a range of dates for it to use
(greater than or equal to, and less that or equal to), it returned a
blank page. With that I can't go any further in preparing a printable
report.
Isn't there a step by step tutorial or help page somewhere. One didn't
have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out in MS Works,
but this ????

cheers-Herb.

Try Jon Peltier's site for Pivot Tables basics and not so basics.

http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Pivots/pivotstart.htm

Also Debra Dalgleish's site.

http://www.contextures.on.ca/tiptech.html

See "P" for pivot.

HI Gord, thanks for the link to the Report add-in for Excel; I'll check
it out as soon as the Medics give me some time-
cheers-Herb.
