XML Mapping in Excel 2007
XML Mapping doesn't seem to have changed much from Excel 2003 to Excel 2007.
But what about the Excel 2003 XML Toolbox ( http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...ffice.11).aspx ) , which doesn't work with 2007? Are there any plans to release a new version for 2007? Among many other useful features, it has this great "remap schema" option that lets you "reload schema into workbooks while preserving cell mappings." It's a massive time-saver for developers who need to tinker with schema mappings before releasing a final version. You can't seem to do anything like this in Excel 2007, and without the Toolkit it seems like an impossible or very annoying task to reload a schema for XML mapping -- I suppose you'd just have to start over if you wanted to make any additions to the schema. Are there any workarounds for this, or are some/all the features in the XML Toolkit simply not availible in Excel 2007? |
