Printing problem after linking Excel 2000 worksheets into Word 200
I have appropriately linked 16 Excel worksheets into a 20-some page Word
document. (Copy, edit paste special, paste as excel worksheet) Using Office 2000. It's a month-end report in a LAN share file. I fill in new data in worksheets, it updates appropriately in Word, looks PERFECT on screen. Boss opens Word document in share file, paints over last month's narrative and enters new narrative. Sometimes his paragraphs are longer or shorter than previous month, so I've placed hard page codes before some worksheets so they remain on their own page. When either he or I print the report from either of our two workstations, some of the worksheets print where they should and look fine. Some others "migrate" to different locations in the report, others print in unreadable fonts (all squashed up or really huge, mis-shaped characters), and some others disappear all together. Each of these worksheets print perfectly alone directly from Excel. When I do a print current page from Word, they distort in the same way. Is there something I've missed? Is there some way to "lock" the worksheet to the exact place I need it to be? What's causing the distorted fonts? I can fax samples if wanted. I have exhausted my resources...followed directions explicity in "Word Bible" and "Excel Bible". Can anyone help? -- Barb |
