Opening Word closes Excel (2003)
 

Over the past few days I've noticed that opening Word causes Excel to
close, without saving changes and without an 'Excel has encountered a
problem' message.

More specifically it seems to be when I've copied some text in Excel
and opened a Word document to paste it. (The text is pasted as a
Windows Metafile picture.)

On restarting Excel there has been no recovered document pane until
this morning (three days after it first happened).

We've run Office 2003 repair but it's still happening.

Does anyone have any ideas? In the meantime I'll learn to open Word
first ...
