Data Import to Excel Issue with Excel 2007 and Excel 2003 on same
Recently I installed Excel 2007 on my PC that also has Excel 2003. When I
import data into Excel from a financial systems software package, Excel 2007 launches to import the data extract, but Excel 2007 does not have an integration (yet) with this other system. This aborts the import process. I haven't found a way to let Excel 2003 take control in this use-case. Excel 2003 will import the data without issue if I can make it the "default" client application. I need to have both versions of Excel so that I can be compatible with others so uninstalling either version is not an option. Is there a config setting somewhere that can be set so that Excel 2007 is not the app which automatically attempts to receive the data? The type of resolution I am looking for is how to "control" which version of Excel launches so that I can make Excel 2003 import the data and not Excel 2007. Any ideas, thoughts, or guidance? |
