How can I input arabic text into Excel via a UK keyboard?
Man! You need first to configure Windows to type right-to-left languages
(this way you would have an Arabic Keyboard in addition to the UK one), and second to enable Arabic for Office. This page from Microsoft can help you: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/311015 I know it's too long, but it's enough for you to follow those steps: 1) To configure Windows to type right-to-left languages, follow the instructions under "How to install additional languages" "In Microsoft Windows XP" (if you have XP). After restarting the computer, you'll notice that you have now two keyboards installed (a language bar may appear, enabling you to select the default keyboard language and other things). But the question is, Do you know the Arabic Keyboard layout? If you don't, the on-screen keyboard of Windows can help. 2) For Office configuration, go to "Step 4: Configure the Microsoft Office Language Settings". After 1., add Arabic to "Enabled Languages". (You must have the Office CD). You'll see few changes in your Office, but nothing that affects the original English.
