I would like to know the best way (and what to use) for inserting a degree
symbol in front of the C (for Celsius) or F (for Fahrenheit) in an Excel cell.

Hi Shelia,

Hold down the alt key type 0176 on the number pad
and let go the alt key.

Create a Custom Format

Type ## then Alt + 0176 then "C"

Note: use the NumPad keys for the 0176............not the number keys above
qwerty
