How do I get a clear image when I paste a .pdf into excel

I have a number of excel charts that are sent to me as .pdf files. These come
from different departments throught the company. I have to incorporate them
into a single excel worksheet. No matter which option I pick using Paste
Special the pasted document is not as crisp as the original .pdf. Also on
some documents the font color of the data lables changes.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
